What's the impact of my gift?

As a sustainable partner, you are providing funding to support HRSSA child care centers and home-based programs, expanding both the number of early child care businesses and the services we offer. That means you are literally building the foundation for a new era in child development for our community!  As we scale to support existing and new providers of quality education programs, we know they will need cost-effective shared services to not only maintain their business viability, but to expand.

 

Hampton Roads must embrace a solution to address the desperate need for quality early childhood programs, and qualified people to staff them. That solution begins with you.

Your support will enable us to:

• Offer basic benefits to all local centers, including free tuition for our 8-month Directors Leadership Academy and Directors Leadership Forum.
   

• Provide centers with access to the Virginia Shared Services Platform managed by Child Care Aware ($125 value), a a one-stop website for early childhood forms, policies, regulations, guidance, discounts, to save centers time, reduce costs, and improve quality.  
                                                                                    

• Keep technology fees low so child care directors can take advantage of time-saving, quality-improving online platforms for operating their centers.
   

• Handle financial management for member centers—freeing up their time to focus on teachers and children, and improving their back-office operations, including billing, collections, DDS Subsidy Reconciliation, and much more.
                                                             

• Find quality workers and onboard them, which removes yet another time-consuming stressor for directors and improves program quality through better-qualified staff. We handle everything from initial applicant screenings to exclusive job fair inclusion, plus HR guidance.
   

• Provide marketing services to ensure centers don't lose money on unfilled spots and to improve their brand image. Includes promotions, developing a well-designed and informative website, and implementing the LegUp platform to centralize their enrollment intake, including waitlist management.
   

• Advocate for high-quality child care & early education, to the benefit of all children in Hampton Roads, their families, and the early childhood industry.
